Review: Mac Studiofix Powder Plus Foundation (NC25)
Imagine, me using a product for more than a year before I review it. I guess it comes with age – I am nearing 40s after all. I also didn’t expect to like the Mac Studiofix Powder Plus Foundation as much as I do now. It’s everything an on-the-go gal wants. Quick, simple, seamless. You can use it wet, you can use it dry. You can use it with a sponge. You can use with with a brush. Ah, let me count the ways.
Don’t forget to scroll and read up until the bottom to see my before and after photos and my personal thoughts!

The MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NC25 is a highly-rated, buildable, medium-to-full coverage powder foundation that delivers a matte finish with excellent shine control, making it ideal for oily skin types; it provides even skin tone and can last all day with proper application, but may appear slightly cakey on dry skin due to its matte finish.
Pros:
- Great for oily skin: The matte finish effectively controls shine throughout the day.
- Buildable coverage: Can be layered for light to full coverage.
- Long-lasting: Provides all-day wear with minimal touch-ups required.
- Even skin tone: Effectively covers imperfections and evens out skin tone.
- Versatile shade range: Offers a wide range of shades to match various skin tones.
Cons:
- Can be drying: It may accentuate dry patches on drier skin types due to its matte finish.
- Potential for cakiness: Over-application can lead to a cakey appearance.
- Not ideal for a dewy finish: If you prefer a more natural, dewy look, this foundation might not be the best choice.
REVIEW

Mac Studiofix Powder Plus Foundation (NC25) effortlessly made my skin looked “cleaner”. Despite my age, I never had this much of an acne breakout, even during my teens! Personally, I’m not a fan of full coverage liquid foundations, especially on a daily basis. I only use those when I have to go to events and need to look perfect.
But on regular days when I have to go do chores, shopping, figure skating practice, and I want to look prepped and polished, this is my go-to powder foundation. Since I’m lazy, most of the time I use a sponge, but when I want a more natural look I buff it up using a brush. This also works great to set the areas that I spot conceal.
It has enough coverage to conceal redness, dark undereye circles, and blur out skin to give it a soft focused look.
TIP: I don’t buy this retail. I wait for those BOGO sales at Lazada to get the most of my buck! You can buy Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation here in case you’d want to score a deal too 😉
