So it has been almost a year since I began my ice skating journey. It started just as a dream, and now it’s reality. If you’re reading this and thinking “it’s too late” or “i’m too old”. That’s just not true. I started my journey already in my late 30s!

To be honest it was hard to grasp the things I needed along the way as a beginner, that’s why this inspired me to write this article. We’ll be tackling various info you need like ice rinks available in the Philippines, how much are the skating lessons, who are the coaches and how to choose, things to buy, and a whole lot more. I really hope this post helps you in your figure skating journey!

I won’t continue to babble and will proceed to the facts you need. If you’re curious about my story you can revisit them here and here.

How many ice skating rink are there in the philipines?

There are three active skating rinks in the Philippines:

  • SM Mall of Asia
  • SM Megamall
  • SM Seaside Cebu

There used to be an ice skating rink in SM Southmall and Sta Lucia East but both got shut and never re-opened due to the pandemic.

What are the skating hours in each rink and how much are the rates?

It’s usually the same as the mall operating hours around 1030am to 9pm

Where can I buy my figure skates?
