Snippets of Sanity – My first published book!

I really hope there’s a follow-up to this one. I’ve always dreamed of being an author, and that dream has finally become a reality thanks to Ukiyoto publishing. Snippets of Sanity is a compilation of some of my favourite stories that I’ve shared on my blog (plus bonus content!).

My Childhood Dream

I had a lot of dream careers when growing up. At 5 I wanted to become a scientist. At 6 I wanted to become president of the Philippines. At 10 I wanted to be a writer, and I guess that one stuck with me until today.

While I did have my fair share of writing experience in high school and college, being editor in chief of our school publications, I didn’t technically pursue a career in writing initially. I graduated with a Computer Science degree and worked in the IT industry for around 10 years, before resigning. Why? I was thirsty to do what I wanted. Ikigai.

Ikigai is the Japanese concept of finding your reason for being. And I think I found everything I want in creating content. Now don’t get me wrong. Just because you love what you’re doing doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Just because you love what you’re doing doesn’t mean it’s easy.  – Kaycee, The Macho Mom

How did you publish & print your book?

I received an e-mail from Ukiyoto Publishing asking me if I’m interested in working with them on a book. They’ll get 40% of my sales, and I get 60% plus royalties. I don’t mind because I just really wanted to get my word and soul out there. Now it is!

Where is it available?

You can get a copy of Snippets of Sanity on Amazon for only 7.00 USD  and 2.99 for Kindle version and it’s free on Kindle Unlimited!

Congratulations for your book. I bumped upon your blog while Googling Ukiyoto Reviews. Just wanted to check with you about your experience with Ukiyoto.

    – Are they traditional publishing or vanity publishing?
    – How was the process like?
    – How was the Payout like?
    – Did they ask you for any kind of payment?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
