Super long overdue review and I don’t even have decent photos to show you guys, but #realtalk, Promatrix 7 Whey Protein Powder is the best tasting whey powder supplement I have tried. This is coming from someone who’s been trying and switching brands since 2015.
I’m already waiting for my 4th pouch while writing this! If you’ve been following my blog or social media for a while now, you’d know I take my sweet sweet time in testing and trying out a product before releasing an honest to goodness review.
Promatrix 7 Protein Powder Review
Would you believe this is proudly made in the Philippines?! Thanks to my good friend Shai Habon, I ran out of protein powder (Optimum Nutrition) and asked for recommendations for a new product to try. I was sick of powders that tasted chalky, hard to mix, and just vomit-inducing; and Shai told me I whould try this one as it tasted really good.
Protein powder is a popular nutritional supplement. Protein is an essential macronutrient that helps build muscle, repair tissue, and make enzymes and hormones.
Taste: Guess what? It freakingly does! It’s not too sweet and has a real dark cacao chocolate flavour!
Mixability: With regards to mixability, it mixes easily using a spoon, you can mix it to any food (I like mixing mine with oatmeal), drink it straight from glass or mix it with coffee! Words are not enough let me tell you, to appreciate this protein powder.
Price: 795 pesos for 2lbs
It’s also the cheapest protein powder supplement in the market, I had doubts if this was pure protein lol. But I’ve already finished 3 bags already and I can definitely notice the muscle gain.
Serving size: 1 scoop or 35g
Macros per serving:
- Fat – 2g
- Carbs – 5g
- Protein – 23g
Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard vs Promatrix 7? Promatrix wins hands down! Not only is this half the price of Gold Standard, it also wins in taste and mixability. It also didn’t give me “protein acne” that I’ve experienced to other brands of protein powder before.
The only con I could think of for this produce is that the seal closure is hard to zip up and I hope they improved the packaging. It’s available in 2lb and 5lb pouches on Shopee or 7-11.
I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will add value to my readers.
