Milani Baked Blush (Review and Swatches)

These Milani Baked Blush (PHP 499) pans have been sitting in my makeup drawer for more than six months now. I bought them last year at BeautyMNL‘s sale as they were 50 per cent off. Not only that, these blushes have a claim to fame to be a “dupe” of Chanel’s JOUES CONTRASTE blush too. Alas, I didn’t know why I bought 4 blushes in the middle of the pandemic, with no place to wear them other than at home or at the grocery. They just look, pretty. Hahaha!

Today, we’re taking some time to review these babies and show you swatches of each shade I purchased (Luminoso, Petal, Coralina, Dolce Pink). Hey! Nothing wrong with wearing makeup at home right? :p

Milani Baked Blush – Description

These richly pigmented, highly buildable blushes feature satin and shimmery shades. Yes, these blushes really are baked — each one has been sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles to give your skin a warm finish and a radiance that looks striking and natural.

Milani Baked Blush – Review

Writing this review makes me want to put on some blush today. Hold on a sec *applies blush* okay, ready!

Milani Blush in Petal
I’m wearing the shade PETAL here

Generally speaking, all these blushes are smooth to touch and never chalky. Each pan has a good amount of saturated colour to make sure it applies true on our cheeks. However, all their blushers are either Satin or Shimmer. All have an amount of sparkle/glitter on them so it’s not for those who want a discreet blush for bold eye or lip looks.

The one I’m wearing in the photo above is the shade Petal, which is the palest shade among the bunch. It’s almost skin-like on my medium-toned skin and applies more like a highlighter than a blush.

Luminoso is a dupe for NARS Orgasm. I own both so I can attest to that, hold on let me find a quick swatch for you guys:

Dolce Pink gives you a barbie-doll pink if you’re looking for that kind of look. While Coralina is a bright golden orange that I’m sure would flatter morena skin!

Application tip: Buff buff buff! Don’t just brush it on once, it needs a good amount of buffing to make sure the blush adheres and shines naturally on our skin 🙂

Final thoughts: For PHP 499, you get a quality blusher comparable to a luxury brand like Chanel, at the fraction of the cost. The plastic packaging is tacky but forgivable. I wish they had matte colours too! But overall I give this a 4/5 stars

⭐⭐⭐⭐ over ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This Milani Blush is really amazing. Since all of those blushes are smooth to touch and never chalky. It’s really amazing that for its price it is comparable to a luxury brand. This is just awesome ?.

Great deal na for the sale price nila. Ganito yung mga type ko din po na make up or blush on (shimmering effect) madali magblend sa skin at hindi nagbubuo buo dahil smooth yung texture niya. Di mahirap i blend basta tama yung pag apply, ganda sa mukha after ma apply❤️
