OUR LOVELY STAY IN BOHOL BEE FARM (HOTEL REVIEW + TOUR)
BOHOL BEE FARM
I initially thought of writing a series of Bohol posts from our travel this year based purely on strategic SEO (search engine optimization. But I was so freaking uninspired that I procrastinated and delayed this for 3 months. Now I’m writing from my Heart. Hey, better late than never.

Our Lovely Stay in Bohol Bee Farm
Matagal ko ng pangarap mag-stay sa Bohol Bee Farm. It’s one of the more famous hotels in Bohol that I always see on social media, even talked about in real life. The reason why we chose to stay here vs other place is its nature farm feel. I mean, why would I go travel just to stay in a modern hotel na meron naman here in Metro Manila.

With jop and my tita, I picked the Garden Bungalow which cost me around 7,500 all-in for 2 days and 3 nights. It’s your very own mini house with a ref, shower, air-con, toiletries, 2 beds, 1 sofa, and a spacious area.
The room looks obviously “old” but still functional and clean. It only gives the place an additional charm. The bed and pillows are soft yet sturdy. We had a good night’s sleep each time. Even macho kid!
BOHOL BEE FARM
BOHOL BEE FARM RESTAURANT
Besides the accommodation, they also have a restaurant with a large capacity. Their food is 100% organic and from their own farm.
BOHOL BEE FARM
MENU & PRICE (as of 2018)
The price is steep for the food they offer. I also find the price to cater to foreign tourists, a bit pricey for most. The serving however is generous. Here’s what we’ve tried from their restaurant.
If you order any of their main course, you get free baked bread and spreads as appetiser. I can actually survive eating their bread alone. It was the highlight of our every meal.
We tried the steamed tilapia (too bland), pork ribs (too sweet), grilled tuna (one of the better tasting ones, the sauce is delicious), salad (fresh!), brick oven cheese pizza (it has cilantro huhu ugh) and pumpkin muffins (macho kid’s fave).
HOMEMADE ICE CREAM IN CASSAVA CONE
One of the highlights of our Bohol Bee Farm stay is trying out their homemade ice cream in a cassava cone (75php per scoop). Cassava is a starchy root crop that’s healthier compared to flour. Their ice cream is naturally sweetened with their honey and each flavor is accurate!
I had the risque durian, jop with chocolate, and my tita had melon! Each is true to its fruit!
It was so good I had a scoop everyday HAHAHAHA
Here are the flavors available:
- Avocado
- Dragon Fruit
- Durian
- Pandan
- Mango
- Spicy Ginger
- Guyabano
- Chocolate
- Malunggay
- Buko
- Ube
- Melon
- Peanut Kisses
- Salted Honey
The BUZZZ Spa
If you need extra pampering they also offer massage, facials, scrubs in their The Buzzz Spa. Since we prefer going out on adventures and save $$$ we didn’t try any of their service. Hehe.
Bohol Bee Farm Tour
Their farm tour which usually costs 150php per head is FREE when you stay in their hotel. You get to see how all their products are made, and how bees produce the honey. Their real bee farm is located in another place. According to the tour guide, the bees used to reside in the hotel but due to some complains of visitors they had to be moved out.
TRIVIA: Did you know that bees do majority of pollination around the world? AKA help the plants reproduce. If you still remember your lessons in Science, most flowers have gender. Male/Female. And the only way they can “connect” is through insects getting their pollen and transferring them around. So if bees die, we die.
We did a little souvenir shopping in their store. LOTS OF ORGANIC HONEY! Jop and I availed of their honey soap and wild honey.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, Bohol Bee Farm is a charming and cozy place to stay in Bohol. I highly recommend it for the residency and tour, but for the dining experience? I suggest you go out somewhere else.
