Cleaning the Toilet – Domestication of an Undomesticated Mommy

Here’s another confession. I’m an undomesticated mom. I was raised by my family relying on them or house help and it’s too late for the blame game. I don’t do the dishes, laundry, cleaning the toilet, etc.

We’ve recently moved out from my parents (I’m a single mom) a few months ago and it’s only Jop and myself. We live in a small apartment so it’s easy to tidy up even for a newbie like me. The most challenging chore? 

Cleaning the toilet.

It’s the most used area in our house right? We do our #2 and #3 and we don’t want to use a stinky toilet so I asked my mom for some toilet cleaning tips.

1. Don’t be afraid. It’s just a toilet.
2. Sanitize the brush you use for cleaning after every use. (I use Mr Muscle Toilet Cleaner)
3. Keep it clean and smelling fresh longer by using toilet discs

Directions for use:

Ensure the toilet is clean
1) Align large button on gel holder with holes on handle. Remove cap and keep.
2) Position clear end of gel holder against inside surface of bowl, where water will flow when flushed.
3) Press and hold button whilst pushing dispenser against bowl until button clicks.
4) Pull dispenser straight back to leave gel disc. Replace cap tightly. Flush toilet to activate gel disc.

Mmm… smells like crisp apples!

Me. Having self-doubts if I can do this.

It’s surprisingly easy! You just stamp in the gel, push the button to release.

Ta-da! Success!

You can also get the refills when you run out so you just have to load your applicator.
