    Parents, admit you’re wrong

While I always admit to my child if I make mistakes. Today’s case was particularly special. A stupidity so huge it affected the entire neighborhood I accused someone of stealing.   The story of the missing phone We’re still on lockdown and all laundromats are still closed. This is one of the few things I learned on quarantine. Handwashing and drying clothes outside. Honestly, it was one of my favorite chores. Seeing the soiled shirts, towels, sheets, fresh and clean again. The sun naturally killing the bacteria and drying the fabric. This morning, after finishing my favorite chore, I went inside ready to watch the newest episode of Ru Paul’s…

Cleaning the Toilet – Domestication of an Undomesticated Mommy

Here’s another confession. I’m an undomesticated mom. I was raised by my family relying on them or house help and it’s too late for the blame game. I don’t do the dishes, laundry, cleaning the toilet, etc. We’ve recently moved out from my parents (I’m a single mom) a few months ago and it’s only Jop and myself. We live in a small apartment so it’s easy to tidy up even for a newbie like me. The most challenging chore?  Cleaning the toilet. It’s the most used area in our house right? We do our #2 and #3 and we don’t want to use a stinky toilet so I asked…

    Am I a bad mom?

“Can we try again tomorrow?”. Those were the last words I said to Geof before we went to sleep. A few hours earlier I had another meltdown, and like always, he was the one who had to carry the burden of my rage. Thank God I didn’t hit him physically. But muttering words like: I’m too tired I’m not a good mom, you’re better off with your dad I want to give up ..is not healthy for a young child like him. My Mood Swings’ Impact to his Mental Health It’s not healthy. For a 9 year old to have a mom who’s diagnose with bipolar-2 and get swings of…

I want him to drink milk regularly.    Why Is it important for children to drink milk everyday?   1. Milk Is Rich In Calcium Milk is one of the best sources of calcium that your kid can consume. Review: MABE Refrigerator and Tips to keep it Running Efficiently

Okay guys. It’s been officially over a month since macho kid and I moved into a new apartment. We’re finally out from living with my mom and life as an independent family (mother and son tandem hehe)     Along with moving out, is arriving to a bare space. Our new home wasn’t furnished at all and we need to fill in the essential furniture and appliances so it’s live-able. My top priorities? Bed, stove, cabinets, microwave oven, and a refrigerator.   The last one is a MUST because everyone needs a ref to keep their leftovers, packed meals, jop’s fresh milk and such.    What do I look for…

How to: Make Your Own Slingshot | Easy Activity for Kids and Mommies!

“Look mommy! Look!” Geof, or as we all know as Macho Kid excitingly tells me out loud that he just made something from scratch. A slingshot. “Who taught you how to make that?” I asked.  “Me lang“ I let out a proud sigh. With thoughts that he’s no longer the tiny baby I held in my arms. Nor was he the little kid crying because I was gone for 3 hours. He’s growing up each day, discovering new interests and hobbies. Even taste in food.  I’ll support him all the way!  We all want to bond with our kids no matter what age right? 🙂 So Geof showed me how easy…

Lilo Little Locator Review | This might be the BEST Smartwatch for Kids

Today I was feeling extra inspired to write this review for the Lilo Little Locator (Price: 3,990php) watch. Why? Just this morning macho kid sent me a couple of voice mails saying: “Mom! You forgot to include my art materials in my bag” “Mom, where did you put my tissue paper?” If he wasn’t wearing his Lilo Locator, I wouldn’t been able to rush back to school to get his missing items (yes. memory gap. signs of aging). I might have picked him up crying instead because of frustration (huhu) We all know that smartphones are not allowed in school, and since class started I banned him from using gadgets. So without further ado,…
