REVIEW: Kojie San Sleeveless Ready Lightening Deodorant

Usapang kili-kili. Yup that’s the filipino word for armpits or underarms. Some have hair, some don’t. Some likes it lighter, some are fine to leave it alone. Today we’ll be reviewing Kojie San Sleeveless Ready Lightening Deodorant. Don’t get me wrong. Everyone can wear sleeveless no matter what shade your underarm is. It’s my personal preference that smoother and even-toned armpits is more attractive.   My Issue: My underarms overproduce sebum that causes blockage. That in the long-run causes those weird blackhead things that I have to exfoliate once in a while or else my armpits would look like it has measles.   Kojie San Sleeveless Ready Lightening Deodorant Review   What you need…

Loved Promil iShine Talent Camp 7 2019 | Why We’ll Enroll Again Next Year

To be honest this will be more of a memoir than a review. Macho kid recently turned 9 and a few more years and he’ll transition to puberty. It makes me anxious as a mom if I’m doing my best to point him in the right direction. In the direction where he’ll grow as a good, responsible adult, while still happy with his choices in life. Masyado ata malalim? In other words, I want his childhood spent on both values, education, and productivity. All while still having fun that a kid deserves. This where Promil 4 iShine Talent Camp 7 comes in to play. You can read more about it on my…

Contact Dermatitis and My Kojic Acid Whitening Soap Trauma

Now while I already stopped trying to lighten my skin and embrace my natural color. I used kojic acid soaps occasionally because they work well in exfoliating dead skin cells. Revealing smoother and more lustrous skin. One time however, I used a Thailand-made soap (sorry I can’t name it to protect the brand but it’s shaped like a starfish) one day and then this happened. OUCH!!!!!!! Just continue reading until the end for my full story.   What is Contact Dermatitis? Contact dermatitis is a red, itchy rash caused by direct contact with a substance or an allergic reaction to it. The rash isn’t contagious or life-threatening, but it can be very uncomfortable.…

TRENDING: C Beauty | Proudly Made in China

After the K-Beauty Craze, the J-Beauty Phenomenon and the hype of Thailand Cosmetics and skincare comes in a new contender in the market C Beauty Honestly speaking, majority of beauty brands in the market are made in china. What makes this different is that these are manufactured by Chinese labels/brands. Proudly local. Take a look at what of C Beauty has to offer like Hedone including one that’s been here in the Philippines for a while; Dear Dahlia Cosmetics.   Hedone The number of digital-native colour-cosmetics brands founded in China, such as Hedone, is rising, too, thanks to a social media culture that revolves heavily around a network of influencers speaking up…

Hello World! Happy Mother’s Day! Hello Macho Mom!

I have to reward myself a gift of writing a personal musing on the very first post on my new website The Macho Mom. It has been long over-due and I’ve been thinking about it A LOT!  If not for the google penalization of my beloved kikaysikat.com, I wouldn’t felt so desperate enough to create another domain because I feel like an octopus who’s lost its tentacle and it needs to regrow another one.   As you all know, KIKAYSIKAT has been my baby for 10 years now. It started out as just a beauty blog where I write my reviews and thoughts on certain products. It also grew a cult…

Good Times at Singapore Science Centre| Travelling is Like a Dream

When it comes to travel blogs, I (we) should keep in mind that it’s best to write as soon as possible. When the taste, sound, smell, moments, and memories are still fresh in our minds. It’s my fault that it took as long as 1 month to finish the entire Singapore Family Travel Diaries. The experience is slowly fading away like a dream. A good friend told me that when we shared each other’s sentiments on travel. Each place we visit is like a dream, and going back home is waking up. So without further ado, let me share with you the bits and pieces that my mind can fragment…
